Every horse in North America that is being imported or exported needs to be declared to customs.
Customs formalities are being arranged by Overseas Horse Services, both for import and export. We take care of this complicated task for you.
Horses entering Canada do not attract customs Duty but are usually Subject to GST, which is a ‘Goods and services tax'. Returning horses, temporary entry horses and horses accompanying immigrants or returning Canadians as personal pets are also exempt from GST. |
